SoundWave Collective is a new ensemble established in The Hague to create performance opportunities for young instrumentalists, singers and dancers. Founder and artistic director Libia Hernández wants to offer young players, composers and other makers the opportunity to gain professional experience and to collaborate with various disciplines. SoundWave Collective wants to be a connecting link between different music movements and genres where experiments with cross-fertilization of programming create intriguing combinations of music styles. We want to find creative ways to attract a diverse and broad audience and to convince them that classical music is contemporary and a lasting force that builds bridges between cultures and continents.
